Default 2010 Baja 1000

Maybe this is a little early but I'm going this year. Maybe early planning is good because it's a peninsula run this year finishing in La Paz! Baja Sur anyone?

I think good to start talking now given the schedules we've all developed. I wanna go! Jess definitely wants to go too, schedule could be tricky tho. Depend on schedule and truck prep I think further south is in order!

"Wednesday Nov. 17 is contingency and the race will start Thursday morning the 18th." from baja mil thread on score site. I read it on the internet -- it must be true.

I will most probably go and have plenty of free seats if anybody wants to go with me. I should be able to leave early, like wednesday I think. Or maybe we could take a whole week off...

I could catch a flu you know...

it's just an idea though, not a requirement in any way

Flu outbreak for sure. I also heard a Hawaiian Airlines plane will make an emergency stop in Loreto that week...

Default pre run

how many weeks ahead of race day does anyone recall pre run opening? I need an adventure...don't know if i could pull it off, regarding time away from work, but an end to end pre run at docspeed, with nites off for sleeping, would make this old guy think he's Mouse McCoy, the ultimate iron man.

I think racecourse usually opens for prerunning about 3-4 weeks before the race. To prerun the whole racecourse and come back would take us at least a week IMO, since this year it's a peninsula run.

I just saw mine the other day while sorting through my old stuff. Let me know if you need me to find it. Note: It uses a different connector than the standard one like PCI uses. Tomas should know what connector it is.

Hardy har har Doc! Actually I have been really wanting to get out to either Golden Acorn or Horizon. Going to try either Saturday or Sunday depending on what other plans I have going on.

mark has had some time off...he was going to go to elevation/live oaks sometime this week, maybe the week end. I'll be out of town this week end, probably elevation next week.

(the old golden acorn is now "horizon", live oak springs is formally "elevation", both, the same exit, elevation is on south side of old hwy 80, at the live oak springs turn off, horizon is a left turn into and through the live oak springs settlement, under the freeway about a mile north.
