Race Radios

Wondering if anyone was planning on getting a race radio setup for their truck? I'm picking up two bike helmet wiring harnesses for 5 watt portable VHF's, but was thinking about picking up a mobile 50-watt for the truck. Not really worth it though if it's at the bottom of everyone's to-buy list, 'cause I can't really talk to myself now can I. So, ...?

i do think coms, at least b/w the trucks, is a great idea- tho i doubt ppl can afford the bling setup right now.. i know i cant.. i think it would be kinda fun/useful to get some cheap cb radios from somewheres tho! :idea:

FRMS GRMS radio's are ok, just need a decent headset.

cheap cbs are shitty, plus I don't want a 20 foot antenna

A VHF system will run ~$400 (or more of course), then intercoms can run about that much, headsets (instead of PTT mic's) run $200 on up, and the list goes on. But $400 shouldn't be too much for you blingin' prerunner guys out there :shock: .
