Figured I'd start a new topic to not hijack the desert race thread.
Anyways looks like the naval base is kinda far away from the air race course

Maybe the parks on Coronado would be good too?

i was thinkin on top of the aircraft carrier......:D but i can't go on there haha There's a couple places just off base, but they will probably be packed. but i could probably park on base and walk off so the car would be close when we want to leave? or if you know someone with a boat or access to one (billy) :D

didn't see the other posts yet......
ya i was watching them today from one of our buildings. There isn't really any super great viewing areas because the dock area is being secured and closed off (even tho not just anyone can go in there anyways).

whats the plan? I've seen them 3 days in a row now haha....so i dont mind skipping and working on my truck, but if you guys want to get on base let me know. We watched the navy flight demonstration today just before the race planes started from the ferry landing area, pretty good spot. Probably have to get there early though, there were a lot of people there. I believe show center and the main area is accross the bay from the landing over at that park there.

I want to watch from N. Island from where you've been. I have to leave no later than 2:30pm to head back home though. So I can drive myself and just follow unless everyone else is leaving that early, which I doubt haha.
