Coral Canyon

Tomas told me that he wants to run a mtb race this season at coral canyon, where we were going to run it last year. He wants to go with me there some time next week and check out possible access road for improvised emergency vehicles, such as my truck - since a lot of roads there are not accessible by standard emergency vehicles. Anybody else wants to go? Such as Ken? Anybody else with 4x4? Or just ride along in my truck? Anybody on a motorcycle or quad perhaps?
In case you don;t know, coral canyon has lots of 4x4, motorcycle, and atv trails. A lot of them are also great to ride on a mountain bike. It is about 1 hour drive from UCSD on 8. The exit is right near the border patrol check-point, so don't forget to bring your "legal" documents if you are an illegal like me. ;)
Tomas, when do you want to go? I prefer on a weekday after 3:30 p.m..

I wanna go too. Debating whether to bring my bike and or if I will offroad my truck. Let me know if anyone else wants to ride (test ride our courses). Also Ilya do you know how bad the shrubbery and rocks are on the trails? I can go at 3:30 if you guys need to but would prefer later.

From what I remember, the trails we rode were too narrow to take a truck on. Dunno about the jeep trails though, they might be wider.

i probably wont be able to make it tomrrow, but the off roading trails are tight there. I remember going there in a buddy's lifted blazer in HS and there are some good rock crawling terrain.

I think it is up to Tomas when we going to go. Hopefully on Thursday. I don't remember the name of the exit for corral canyon, but it is right near the border patrol check point on freeway I8 and I think the sign says something like "Corral Canyon OHV Park, next exit". I am going to go with my dad and Tomas so there are still 1-2 free seats left in my d-cab tacoma for anybody who wants to join. I can take your bikes too if you want.

We are meeting at 4:15-4:30 at the arco/jack in the box off of lake jennings and the I-8. If you want to go then meet there.
